Food for Thought

This quarter I am teaching only one class (the rest of my work is administrative) and it's an elective called "Food For Thought." I have really been enjoying teaching this class. For those of you who are wondering, yes, it is still an English class--it's just all about learning and practicing English through the lens of food. We have had fun doing a variety of activities such as:

Touring Burst's, a chocolate "factory" (shop) and making caramel apples

Learning about organic farming at Gathering Together Farm

And cooking up a storm one of my all-time favorite places, the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center
