Clapboard Cottages

I have to admit that I had an ulterior motive for wanting to go to the coast this past weekend. I really wanted a weekend away--we really needed a weekend away--but I also wanted an opportunity to look at the beautiful weathered clapboard cottages in Cannon Beach and Gearhart. There is something about this style that I just love (Mike says that this is because I'm a snob at heart) and I wanted to get some ideas we might use with our house.
